Getting a good night's sleep is as important to our well-being as exercise & eating well.

So how can we ensure we are getting enough sleep?

Try to go to bed and wake up at a similar time each day. It sounds simple, but with the distractions of phone, television and a sleep in on the weekend, our rhythm goes out the window. It is important to maintain routine throughout the whole week.

Spend time outside, in natural light. This helps increase melatonin production in your body, the hormone which allows you to know when to sleep and wake up.

Avoid watching television, browsing the internet or looking at your phone in bed. Your brain needs to associate your bed with sleeping.

A comfortable sleep environment is key. Cool temperature, quiet surroundings and a dark room, will help in getting you to drift off and avoid disrupting a continuous sleep.

Lastly, feeling comfortable in what you wear to bed is important.

Our pyjamas are made from 100% silk. Silk fabric is a natural temperature stabiliser. It keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter.

It is free from allergens which can result in skin conditions, but can also provide relief for already affected skin.

It is also suggested that silk can help combat the physical signs of ageing.

Why wear anything else?
